BroadcastSafeMC, new plugin for Media Composer

A few days ago Eyeheight presented its new plugin designed for Avid Media Composer and Interplay editing systems, the BroadcastSafeMC.

This is a legalization plug-in, with safety area generator and graphic measurement tools, which allows you to verify and adjust your images before they reach quality control.

To legalize the image, it has a soft clip that can be adjusted at high and low thresholds. Its precise limiting ensures compliance with emission standards while maintaining the widest color range available.

Editors can choose from a wide range of presets or work in custom mode, which provides access to 15 parameters. It is also possible to assign certain presets to certain users, limit them, create new ones or even disable the custom option.

The integrated safety area generator offers a variety of markers covering all requirements for SD, HD and 2K, including 16:9 and 14:9 when talking about SD. As with the previous presets, markers can be managed so that only some can be used.

BroadcastSafeMC runs on Mac and Windows platforms, and is compatible with any combination of formats and color spaces supported in Media Composer 7.
