Cinemartin has released version 3.X of its Cinec file conversion and encoding software.
This version brings new camera supports, formats and resolutions, allowing you to work with virtually any file from any device (including smartphones) on Windows platforms.
Supported Codecs
Among the new features we can find MP4 H.264 files recorded with GoPro cameras, as well as Cineform and SI Cineform (Silicon Image). We will also be able to convert XAVC from Sony F5 and F55, or XAVC-S from Sony FDRAX100.
In addition, one issue to note is that the support for .R3D files (Red One, Scarlet and Epic) supports the 6K that can be obtained thanks to the Dragon sensor.
Cinemartin also targets non-professional users, providing them with all possible facilities. That is why this update allows encoding 4K videos recorded with Snapdragon 800 and 805 devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy or Xperia.
Apart from those mentioned above, these codecs and formats are also supported:
- Uncompressed 8, 10, 12 and 16 bits
- AVC Intra (Panasonic Broadcast)
- AVCHD Pro (Sony FS100, FS700, Panasonic 3/4)
- AVCHD (Sony, Panasonic and JVC consumer)
- MOV H.264 (Canon EOS)
- MPEG2 Long GOP MXF (Canon C100, C300, C500)
MPA function
Cinec 3.X includes a new feature called MPA: Motion Picture Adjustment. Thanks to it we will be able to modify the levels of brightness, contrast, saturation and gamma, with LEDs located on the adjustment knobs to help us make the changes.
If we activate the dual monitor option we will be able to view the original video on the left screen and the adjusted MPA on the right, to see the result before converting the file definitively.
H.265 encoding
This is the first system to deliver H.265 encoding on Windows, developed in version 3.0 in collaboration with Convergent Design.
With the new version comes the second update of the H.265 converter, which includes broader support, slightly faster processing and up to 40-50% disk space savings.
On this website you will find downloadable materials for practice and HEVC players (you can also use VLC 2.2) to view these files from a PC.
If you want to play them on an Android device, you can download the free player from here. The iPhone version is under development.
Other functions
Cinec is also capable of creating videos with transparency from alpha images, using the new “Quicktime Animation” preset.
In this link you will find more detailed functions of this software.
Cinec 3.X versions maintain their prices at:
