Colorfront, the developer of various software for dailies generation in filming and transcoding, is now launching a new version of Transkoder.

Transkoder is a software dedicated to mastering and QC (quality control), and focuses the capabilities of this update on HDR and high resolutions.

Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG 1.2 delivery formats have been included, as well as resolution support has been extended to 8K dual-green and up to 16x SDI outputs are now supported via AJA’s Corvid 88 card. To achieve the latter functionality, it is necessary to work on Supermicro or HP stations.

Also regarding 8K, the new version allows reading and processing 8K raw material from RED‘s Helium sensor and Panavision‘s Millenium Digital XL.

For monitoring, Transkoder can be GPU-accelerated if you have Nvidia’s Tesla M60, Quadro M6000, Titan-X(p) or GTX 1080 cards.

Less notable new features include more forming tools, improved search capabilities or integrated diagnostic functions.
