We’ve been waiting since mid-April for Blackmagic Design to officially release DaVinci Resolve 12, the latest update to its award-winning color correction (and now editing) system.
The first presentation of this version was made during NAB and now thousands of professionals have been able to see it at the IBC exhibitions. At the time we published a post (which you can read here) with all the details of DaVinci Resolve 12, but we summarize the most important new features:
- Support for ACES 1.0
- New 3D keyer and 3D perspective tracker
- Composite nodes
- Real-time multi-camera editing
- Improved trim modes
- New high-performance audio engine
- More tools for media management
- Remote rendering to other Resolve systems
- Enhanced Final Cut Pro X integration
DaVinci Resolve 12 is now available for download from the Blackmagic Design website. We remind you that there is a free version, which has almost all the features and is available for Mac and Windows; or the full version, called Studio, available for Mac, Windows and Linux and priced at $995.
