The house of Blackmagic Desgin updates a latest version of its popular color correction software DaVinci Resolve 14. This latest version is 14.2 and brings both a set of new features and a number of bug fixes within the program system. Remember that there are two versions of the program available: one free and one paid.
News
Among the most notable new features are the addition of support for Final Cut Pro 10.4 XML import and export and support for the timeline frame rate of 95,905 fps. In this update, Blackmagic design workers have paid special attention to add new features regarding sound, such as adding support for importing audio-only AAF timelines, support for rendering audio drivers in round-trip ProTools mode or support for audio playback when dynamic trimming is performed.
Troubleshooting
Among the program’s system bug resolutions we find that the acquisition and release of a container lock in a collaborative project has been fixed, as well as network connectivity issues that could cause unexpected results in a collaborative project. On the other hand, multiple problems with the fader behavior for direct track outputs in the Fairlight track mixer and the momentary failure – on some occasions – in the audio on the Fairlight page when starting or stopping playback have been fixed.
These are just some of the new features and solutions presented by the program. If you want to know the rest, you can consult the list of Blackmagic desgin.
