Blackmagic Design has released the latest update to its DaVinci Resolve software with version 16.2.7. A minor update compared to other releases, but with some very useful new features for the community.
The main new feature of DaVinci Resolve version 16.2.7 is that this new update includes support for NVDIA Ampere GPUs on Windows and Linux systems. The list of graphics cards now supported in DaVinci Resolve includes the Ampere RTX 3080, 3090 and 3070. Why is this support for the ENVIDIA RTX 30 family important? DaVinci becomes the first nonlinear editing program to support these graphics cards, which enhance 8K and HDR image processing.
In general it is an update where the editing, color, sound postproduction and compositing program from Blackmagic Design is improved. It becomes a more stable version thanks to bug fixes that make it more stable and gives you better performance when working.
Another bug that has been fixed in this version 16.2.7 is the problem we encountered when importing ISO ATEM projects when working at a speed of 23.97 frames per second.
Going back to the main new features of the previous version, 16.2.6, DaVinci Resolve also has support for Blackmagic RAW 1.8.1 and Final Cut Pro X version 1.9 for XML.
Like all versions of DaVinci Resolve, this is a completely free update, which you can download right now from the official Blackmagic website.
