DaVinci Resolve 14.2.1
The main changes in this version include up to 50 improvements, specifically focused on stability and overall performance. First of all, better performance in the editing section while generating thumbnails or obtaining good results with 5.1 and 7.1 WAV files. We also found a more reliable progress indicator when generating optimized proxy media. There are also several Fairlight audio enhancements and improved performance of the Multicam viewer. In addition, there is the ability to change multiple clip properties at the same time, stability for Cineform and H.264 rendering as well as faster ProRes encoding. A host of other improvements also include faster XAVC-I decoding.
While the free version is supported only through the Blackmagic web forums, the Studio version requires a DaVinci Resolve dongle or a software activation key. For more information on what’s new, check out the official Blackmagic website.
