DaVinci Resolve Tutorial: Checking a conformation

Although DaVinci Resolve has many methods for conforming input movies: AAF, XML, EDL, tape capture, cutting an entire clip, etc. There are times when, like all software, it can make mistakes. It is always advisable that together with the original tapes or files we receive a low reference movie to check the conformation and verify that everything is OK. There will be times that even if the film has been conformed correctly we will have to recreate effects, speed changes, etc.

The conforming process is often more time consuming than most people realize and is of vital importance prior to color correction. This DaVinci Resolve tutorial explains how to check our conform with a reference film.
