DAVIO processor upgrade

A few days ago it was announced the release of Davio 2.0 by Cine-tal Systems, developers of monitoring and image processing management.

It is a video processor that provides solutions for color management, monitoring, projector calibration, stereoscopic image processing and marker or graticule generation.

These are the main features of the new version:

– The manageable color range is wider and improved, as are the calibration possibilities.

– Two independent 3G-HDSDI channels are included. Each channel has full color management control, both input and output over 1D LUTs, color space converters, gamma control and a 64-point 3D LUT.

– There is also a compressed HDMI/DVI-D input/output channel for the same purposes.

Another new feature of Davio 2.0 is the new Davio Control software. It is an application (valid for Linux, OSX and Windows 7) that allows you to control all Davio systems on the network from a remote location. All operations can be controlled, including changing software packages, loading LUTs, controlling color space parameters and entering ASC CDL data.

Davio can work with LUTs generated by the following systems:

CineSpace, by THX.

– SpectraCal’s CalMan Studio.

LightSpace, by Light Illusion.

TrueLight, by FilmLight.

This update is free for all those who were already Davio users (Calibration, Color Management, Stereoscopic or 4:4:4 Graticule & Mask Generator).
