G-Technology introduces a new product for its desktop storage line: Thunderbolt 3 G-Speed Shuttle. This is a transportable device with four drive bays with hard drives and/or bay adapters from the company. These can be used to attach readers and card readers compatible with the ev series.
In addition, according to G-Technology its new product is designed for 4K and 8K multi-streaming production workflows, and where bandwidth works with real-time multi-camera editing, playing back videos with multi-layered effects and fast exporting in an efficient workload. The G-Speed Shuttle comes in two basic configurations. These feature two integrated Thunderbolt 3 ports each. On the other hand, with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, the Shuttle can be placed in a daisy chain with other Thunderbolt devices, and is also Thunderbolt 2 compatible.
Different storages
The four-hard-drive G-Speed Shuttle ($1,800) can be purchased with between 16 TB and 48 TB of storage and boasts performance of up to 1,000 MB/sec depending on RAID configuration. The two-drive G-Speed Shuttle with two ev-series bay adapters ($2,000) and can be purchased with between 20 TB and 24 TB in its drive bays and achieves a performance target of up to 500 MB/sec.
