DJI enters the action camera market with its new DJI Osmo Action Camera. The camera allows recording in 4K 16:9 and up to 60 frames per second.
The price of this model is 379 euros and unlike other similar cameras on the market, the DJI Osmo Action Camera has two color screens. The 2.25-inch rear screen is touchscreen and has a waterproof coating, while the front screen is 1.4 inches and is designed for vlogs and selfies, as it allows you to see live how the image is being recorded.
The screens of the DJI Osmo are capable of supporting up to 750 nits, so that images can be viewed in bright conditions and in the sun.
It has a very simple design, just three buttons for power, mode change and recording, although the camera is capable of detecting up to five functions by voice. Among its recording modes is the option of timelapse and slow motion. HDR mode is also available at 30 frames per second and with three steps of dynamic range.
Recording in 16:9 in both 4K and 2.7K can reach 60 frames per second, while in 4:3 the number of frames per second is limited to 30.
True to their commitment to image stabilization, they have added a powerful stabilization system to the Osmo Action for smooth images. The “RockSteady” system allows you to record shake-free images no matter how shaky the action you are recording.
It is a small but robust camera, as it is able to withstand temperatures down to -10ºC and can withstand up to 11 meters underwater.
