This week I created a LUT called “Film Teal&Orange”. For those of you unfamiliar with this term, the “Teal & Orange” look usually has part of the image in warm and part in blues/greens.
In the case of this LUT, the blue part affects only the blacks, so although the effect is achieved, it does not tint too much the rest of the image. It has been created on a Rec. 709 material, so if you apply it on logarithmic clips you will have to adjust the contrast first.
I do not recommend that you use it on very dark clips because, when you use the black selection, you will have practically the whole image turned blue and you will not get the expected result.
