Today thanks to Jorge Carrasco we can offer you the download of these five clips recorded with the Panasonic Lumix GH4 camera.
The tests were performed with the Atomos Shogun recorder (on loan from Fototécnica), capable of capturing images in 4K using ProRes or CinemaDNG and its HDMI or SDI connections. According to Jorge, this recorder “records in UHD, not 4K, and also crops pixels on the right“; although he also warns us that the Shogun was not completely up to date.
All files are 24fps and 422 sampling at 10bit, as the Apple ProRes 422 HQ codec was used for testing. You will see that there are three clips recorded in UHD, with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and two others in 1080p (1920 x 1080).
