The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is one of the most popular and widely used DSLRs in the audiovisual world.
It has a 22.3 megapixel Full Frame CMOS sensor and 1080p video recording capability. The codec used in camera is H.264, which provides a good result although it is not the most recommended for post-production due to the type of compression used. However, we can also take advantage of the HDMI output to obtain uncompressed 4:2:2 clips at 8-bits.
