Let’s close the week with a new download, this time corresponding to a clip captured with the RED Weapon Helium, at a resolution of no less than 8K.
This file is one of those recorded during the free seminar organized earlier this year by Catts Camera, RED’s official distributor in Spain.
Leica Summilux lenses (also distributed by Catts Camera) were used in conjunction with the RED Weapon Helium. X-Rite’s ColorChecker Video cards and models of different races were used for the tests, so that skin tones could be evaluated. Important cinematographers, such as José Luis Alcaine, were present during the tests.
For those of you who are interested in learning more about the making of this clip, you have all the information on the clapperboard. And for the more post-production oriented or colorists, it will give you a taste of RED’s new color science.
