Download three clips of VariCam 35 with ISO Dual

The VariCam 35 was introduced just a year ago by Panasonic, setting it apart from other 4K and 2/3″ cameras on the market.

It comes with a Super 35mm CMOS sensor that allows capturing a 4K 17:9, with a resolution of 4096×2160. It has a modular design to which the recording module and different accessories can be attached, allowing interchangeable Super 35mm and 2/3″ heads. Its latitude is 14 stops and it is possible to record at variable speeds up to 120fps.

One of its greatest strengths is that it has two native ISOs, 800 and 5000. This means the same noise level using one sensitivity or the other, which considerably increases the recording capabilities in low light situations.

In our Downloads section I have left a link to three MXF files recorded with the AVC-Ultra codec. You will see that, keeping a 2.8 aperture, each one has a different ISO (800, 4000 and 5000).

All of them have a resolution of 4096×2160 and are at 25fps. To open them you will need to have the latest version of DaVinci Resolve(11.2.1) installed, as it is currently the only software capable of opening them.

We remind you that you can send us your tests through the address info@709mediaroom.com. In this way we will be able to learn from each other and make it easier for everyone to access materials.
