From today you can download from our Downloads section two clips recorded with Leica Summicron C lenses. They are camera tests made with the Red Epic Dragon camera, compatible with the Leica-M mount.
The Summicron C kit consists of six fixed lenses of 18, 25, 35, 50, 50, 75 and 100mm, to which the focal lengths of 21, 29, 40 and 135mm can be added. They are high contrast lenses and were designed to work with very high resolutions, so they are able to cover the RED Epic Dragon sensor in 6K mode. Their maximum aperture is T2.0.
The two files we have posted are in RAW (r3d), at 24fps and have a 6K resolution, exactly 6144×3160.
