EditShare is compatible with Media Composer 7

EditShare has made its family of shared storage products available for the newly released Avid Media Composer 7 editing system .

Following a trajectory that began in 2004, EditShare wanted to move forward together with Avid by maintaining the integration of its line of solutions to facilitate digital workflows and shared projects.

For this purpose, they have three types of shared storage configuration. The one that offers the highest performance and scalability, being able to reach up to 600 TB and hundreds of users, is XStream; followed by Energy and then Field 2, whose advantage is to be comfortable and portable although it is somewhat more limited.

This update (compatible with v6.4.0.3) is free for EditShare v6.x customers.

EditShare integrates these products with others for video ingest, archiving and backups. Geevs and Flow allow you to record DNxHD and ProRes codecs directly to the mainframe and produce real-time proxies. Meanwhile, there is the option of simultaneous copies and automatic backup through Ark.

In addition to Avid, EditShare works with Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and Lightworks. You can find all the information about their products at this link.
