Effects tutorials for FCP X

Noise Industries, a company dedicated to visual effects tools, has just released a collection of titles and transitions called SUGARfx Punchline, integrated in FxFactory.

It is designed for Final Cut Pro X and has 32 effects (11 titles and 21 transitions) in high definition. Being optimized for this system, it tries to make the most of its advantages, for example, showing the exact frame in which the transition is desired through the numbers that appear on the timeline.

Transitions and effects offer mattes, text effects, color and animations that would be complicated and tedious to do by hand.

All effects have customizable parameters to create different transitions or headers (titles work as headers, not as independent texts).

In this page you have all the information and thumbnails of each of the effects. You can also download the trial version or purchase it for $49.

This short tutorial shows several examples and how to modify them.

In addition to SUGARfx Punchline, Noise Industries also recently released SplitScreen X, which contains 38 templates for making multiscreen effects in Final Cut Pro X.

The possibilities include different geometric shapes that can be modified in terms of position, opacity, size or rotation. To apply the effect, simply drag the video clips into the drop zones.

Here is another tutorial and the link to the page where you can download the trial version or buy it.

For both collections it is necessary to have the free FxFactory software installed (you can download it here).
