Eizo introduces its new ColorEdge monitors

EIZO

This week Eizo introduced the two new additions to its renowned ColorEdge line of monitors, the CG2730 and CS2730 models.

Both feature a 27-inch display, 2560 x 1440 native resolution and 10-bit color depth. The IPS panel covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space, and in the case of the CG2730, also 98% of the DCI-P3 space. The contrast ratio is 1500:1. To finish off the display qualities, both have built-in Eizo Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology, which ensures a Delta-E difference of 3 or less.

The company has focused a lot on redesigning the monitors externally, so that now the casing has been renewed, they have a narrower button panel (46% more to be exact) located on the frame and the bottom of the monitor is 30% thinner than in previous models. The weight has also been reduced, reaching now 8.9Kg, so that thanks to this and the integrated handle it is possible to move the monitors easily from one location to another.

In terms of connections, they have Display Port, HDMI, DVI and 3 USB 3.0 ports, one of which allows charging devices.

Both come with ColorNavigator 6 calibration software, which is also compatible with devices such as those from X-Rite or Datacolor.

Differences between the two models?

These are the additional qualities of the CG2730:

  • Built-in self-calibration sensor.
  • The CG2730 comes with an easily removable visor, which is optional for the CS2730.
  • Supports ColorNavigator NX and ColorNavigator 6 quality control software.
  • It is Fogra Class A certified for softproof and TUV Rheinland certified for color accuracy.
