ETC has launched its new LED fos / 4 Panel panels that end up seeing the light after 10 years of research to offer the most suitable solutions to users, as stated by the brand. It launches the new models with 3 different sizes and two light options, Daylight HDR and Lustr X8.
The fos / 4 panels go on sale with the firm idea of “not having to fix in postproduction what can be fixed in shooting”, hence the release of two different models to have total control of the light by having a tunable white matrix and another color. They assure that with fos / 4 Panel lighting the skin tones become realistic and true to life. The same happens when shooting sunsets, the colors that we capture with good lighting, become more natural.
How do they achieve this reproduction of reality? By adjusting the colors to the CIE chart, covering more spectrum to achieve deeper reds that help capture skin tones. It also adds more brightness in all colors than other panels. The Daylight HDR model, on the other hand, makes use of these color hues to result in natural white light. The X8 system ‘s color selection allows the Daylight model to filter out only the colors needed to maintain true skin tones. It is an adjustable panel, so we can customize the color temperature between 1,900 and 10,450K.
In terms of design, they have opted for a simple but quite complete user interface. It has, among the controllers, a touch screen where you can select a specific color of the spectrum. It allows wireless control through the Multiverse console of city Theatrical or through the mobile, as it has near field communication option. For the latter option you only need the ETC SET Light application installed on your device.
To purchase these panels, the brand distributes them through its official supplier in Spain, Stonex.
