This is BroadcastSafePP, a set of plugins to legalize our images according to broadcast standards without leaving the interface of Premiere Pro, Adobe’s editing system.
Its tools for graphic measurement, legalization and generation of security areas allow users to check and adjust their content before reaching quality control.
BroadcastLegalPP
This plug-in supports two ways of working, either by using any of the included presets, or by manually adjusting the custom mode, which provides access to 15 parameters.
By default these presets are available to all users and configured in a way that makes them easy to apply even if you do not have a strong knowledge of emission standards. However, they can be managed to create new presets, assign a specific one (or several) to a user or even disable the custom mode to ensure that only approved settings are applied.
Soft clip controls are also included to preserve detail in shadows and highlights.
BroadcastSafeAreaPP
It is a generator of markers that delimit security zones. There are about 100 different markers covering the needs of standards worldwide, including SMPTE, EBU, ITU, ARIB and DPP, as well as SD 525/625, HD 1080/720 and 2K formats.
These markers can be of any color and another function of this tool is to measure the height of the text.
As with presets, you can restrict access to them for certain Premiere users, modify them or create new security zones.
BroadcastSafePP is designed to run on OS X 10.7 and Windows XP operating systems (or higher in both cases) and is compatible with any combination of formats and color spaces supported by Premiere Pro.
We don’t know the price yet because this plugin is in production, but from this link you can get all the information available.
