Eyeon Connection v1.5

Eyeon has updated its plug-in for Avid’ s AVX2 architecture by releasing Eyeon Connection v1.5, which allows it to work in Avid editing systems alongside Fusion.

Eyeon Connection creates a bridge between NLE (non-linear editing) systems and Fusion’s nodal compositing tools, making it easy for editors to get high-end VFX and see this work instantly reflected in their editing timeline.

A few features have been added in this version to improve its round-trip functionality, but the main new feature is the addition of Avid DS support .

Eyeon Connection was originally released only for Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter, but is now also available for Avid DS, an Avid system that combines editing, color correction and compositing. This plug-in was created to allow editors and compositors to go beyond a specific environment into workflows that included layer-based editing and VFX. Now, with the addition of DS, advanced 3D compositing technology is provided, with an easy process that will clearly increase the possibilities of Connection and Fusion.

In this video you can see how the plug-in works within Avid DS and how it works together with Fusion:
