FilmConvert and Atomos join forces to offer LUTs

Atomos Shogun

FilmConvert is a company known for developing cinematic looks that emulate photochemical film, either through plugins or camera profiles. They also have real film grain scans.

Now, they have collaborated with Atomos, the manufacturer of the popular Shogun or Ninja recorders, to combine their skills and expertise to offer quality LUTs to Atomos users.

As a result of this joint work, all those with Assassin or Shogun recorders will have access to three FilmConvert LUTs, two of them designed by cinematographers Philip Bloom and Nino Leitner.

Nino Leitner has said that “With logarithmic recording on most modern cameras, we have gained a lot of flexibility in post-production. On the other hand, it is easy to lose sight of the final look when you are recording and viewing a logarithmic image. “. So, he has generated his own custom LUT on the Atomos Shogun, to preview the look without compromising the opportunities of Slog3 on the FS7.

To access these 3 FilmConvert LUTs, Atomos users can visit this link. And in this link you have all the information about how the process works, how are the two luts of these DoP and much more.
