Final Cut X 10.3

Final Cut Logo

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a major update to Final Cut X, but now the time has come, Apple has continued development of its popular editing system.

The new Touch Bar

The first of the additions to be discussed is directly related to the renewal of the MacBook Pro line, which now brings what the company has called “Touch Bar”. As its name suggests, this is a small touch bar (OLED display) located on top of the keyboard. Thanks to this bar, Fina Cut users will be able to perform various keyboard shortcuts, switch between editing tools, modify audio levels or use trim and playback commands. It can even display an interactive timeline overview.

We don’t know if editors will be happy and comfortable with the new feature, but we certainly recognize that the editing experience as we know it could change, and this would be a first step.
