Final Effects Complete 7 AE and AVX

Some time ago we informed you that Boris FX would be releasing version 7 of its Final Effects Complete plug-in suite for After Effects and that it was planning to release one for Avid as well; both are now available.

Final Effects Complete 7 (FEC 7) is a product that can be used on both Windows and Mac platforms. It includes about 120 plug-ins that combine animated transitions, filters, particle effects and several new blurs and dissolves.

FEC 7 for After Effects

After Effects users will have many more capabilities available to them than with the CycoreFX suite, which has been included with the AE CS6 license since April. This update works with its CS6, CS5.5 and CS4 versions. In addition, it also works with Premiere Pro (in the same versions).

You can take advantage of the 32-bit Float, support added in this latest version; the integration of Beat Reactor, a plugin for creating audio-guided effects; new filters, such as Water Waves Dissolve or Spiral Blur; the PixelChooser masking tool; and the included Motion Tracking.

FEC 7 AE costs $895, but for users who want to upgrade their version 6 or switch from Boris Continuum Complete, they can do it for $295. In this page you have all the information about the collection, with examples of the effects, and here you can download the trial.

FEC 7 for Avid

Final Effects Complete 7 AVX supports version 6.5 of Media Composer and Symphony, and 10.5 for NewsCutter. It contains quite a lot of overlap with the Boris Continuum Complete collection, which has been Avid-compatible for some time now, but increases its capabilities.

In addition to the more complex features, already mentioned in the After Effects section, these are some of its basic plug-ins:

– Animated transitions such as Blur Dissolve, Glass WIpe or Light Wipe.
– A large number of distortion and perspective filters.
– Stylized looks such as 3D Relief, Kaleida, Glass or Vector Blur.
– Word processing with Wiggle Edges, Burn Edges and Sparkle Edges.
– 2D or 3D particle effects such as Bubbles, Hair and Mr. Mercury

FEC 7 AVX also costs $895, but for a limited time there is an offer for BCC 8 AVX users, who can get it for only $100. If you want more information you can see its official website.

And here is the link to download the trial.

In addition to these systems, Final Effects Complete is also available for software from Apple(Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express and Motion), Autodesk(Flint, Flame, Inferno and Smoke) and Quantel.

Boris FX has come out with one more offer, to purchase FEC 7 AE and FEC 5 FxPlug Bundle (a set of 100 redesigned effects and filters for Final Cut Pro’s FxPlug plugin) for $1,095.
