FireDay, the new software for dailies

Firefly Cinema and Maxx Digital have worked together to develop FireDaya new software dedicated to the creation of dailies.

FireDay has been designed for DITs and camera assistants to work with on Mac OSX, allowing playback, color correction and conversion of the vast majority of current formats.

These are its main tools and features:

• Primary and secondary color corrections
• Backup copies
• Media management
• Audio synchronization
• CDLs and 3D LUTs
• ACES

In addition, it is possible to convert an input file into several output formats. For this purpose, it has arender treethat allows rendering several versions of the same shot (withburn in, LUTs, corrections, rescaling, etc.), making the final render in the background.
