As of last Wednesday, January 21, all new Flanders Scientific CM and BM series monitors will have enhanced features and added capabilities.
- Video Data Analyzer” function, which provides a readout of video data at pixel level in decimal or hexadecimal real time and can be used both for the active image and for the analysis of vertical or horizontal bands.
- “CIE Scope“: maps the full-frame signal data into a CIE diagram with the added ability to compare the active color space with other standard color spaces.
- In addition to the “Syde-By-Side” and “Picture In Picture” display modes (for double image input), three other modes have been added to the PIP menu: Split-screen horizontal and vertical with variable position and “3D Disparity”.
- Emulation of the BT.2020 color space in all models equipped with CFE2 (Color Fidelity Engine), being especially useful in those that cover a significant part of the color space gamut, such as the CM250 monitor.
Those of you who have a monitor equipped with CFE2 technology can enjoy these features by downloading a free firmware update. The user manuals have also been updated and contain details of all the new features included.
