Monitor manufacturer Flanders Scientific Inc has announced the adoption of LightSpace CMS, Light Illusion‘s color management and LUT creation system.
Flanders Scientific (FSI) has just released a firmware update that integrates LightSpace CMS calibration capability into its high-end monitors that use a 10-bit panel and the advanced “Colour Fidelity Engine” (CFE Board), which adds the 3D LUTs array.
This innovation will allow users to obtain the possibility of more customized calibrations and, thanks to the combination of hardware and software, to obtain higher calibration accuracy. In addition, LightSpace is a system that allows integration with multiple applications and devices, making it easier to choose one’s own workflows and level of investment in calibration and monitoring.
The LM-2461W ($4,995), LM-2460W and CM-170W ($3,295) can now import 3D LUTs created in Flanders Scientific’s 64x64x64 format. Thus, users with the latest version of LightSpace CMS can export LUTs in this format and immediately import and use them easily on these monitors, allowing them to create color spaces and manipulate custom LUTs.
Flanders Scientific has also added three user positions in the “Colour Space Selection” function of each monitor. This will allow importing custom LUTs without having to overwrite existing ones and switching between them in a few seconds, adapting the monitor configuration to various needs and applications.
