Foolcontrol is an iOS and OS X app developed by cinematographer Mikael Lubtchansky that allows you to remotely control RED cameras.
Before use with any of the devices, the device and the camera must be connected to the same network using an Ethernet cable, Wi-Fi module, GigE or RedLink Bridge connections.
iOS
Once you have them connected, you will see that a lot of camera controls are included, among which we can find a large focus ring, status indicators, playback controls or even the possibility to adjust the camera looks or correct them with the curves.

There is a trial version (which you can download from here) that will let you operate the application for 5 minutes. After that it locks for 15 minutes and runs again for another 5 minutes.
This app is available from the Apple Store for $170. Its creator has announced that the price could increase with the arrival of the next version, although if you are already users it will not cost you anything to upgrade.
Mac OS X
The OS X version was released at the last NAB and has already received some updates.
It offers certain more detailed options for camera control, being able to configure recording parameters such as format, frame rate, or HDR or having access to histograms, gamma curves, exposure tools and much more.
This version runs on Mac OS X 10.8 and on Scarlet or Epic cameras, for $99 and $199 respectively.
