From Video Copilot comes the new Color Vibrance plugin, for creating particle effects with intense and bright colorization. It may not be a plugin that you use every day, but it’s free!
On a black background we will find the different particle effects created in white (this is what they call “pre-matted”). Thus, and thanks to the included matte tools, alpha channels can be easily generated to blend them with another image or use the different blending modes, providing more control over the composition.

It can be downloaded for both Mac (OS X 10.7 and above) and PC and is compatible with After Effects CS5, CS6 and CC.
