Ovide, a digital cinema and television equipment rental company, has organized a FREE course on video assistance, which will take place on February 27th and 28th at its offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
The name of this course is “This is Smart Assist“. It is due to the use of the Smart Assist system, an Ovide development based on QTAKE HD software, getting all its power in a compact hardware and eliminating the need for tower computers, large wiring, capture cards, monitors, converters, etc.
It is a Full HD (1920 x 1080) touch screen that is 22 inches (diagonal) and 11cm thick, to which external monitors can also be connected.
The system uses the Apple ProRes recording codec, and supports two HD cameras. However, for multi-camera recordings it is possible to connect up to 8 systems, which would mean a total of 16 cameras recording and playing back simultaneously.
Another of its qualities is that it allows you to read camera metadata and incorporate information manually, generating a PDF camera report that also includes screenshots.
It is also possible to work with stereoscopic projects, adjusting convergence live, looking at differences or previewing; perform color correction operations and even import LUTs from some systems such as DaVinci Resolve.
This course is intended for specialized technicians and the schedule will be from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a break at noon. If you want to register you can do it through this link.
