As expected, the company Blackmagic Design has presented at NAB 2017 the new version of its color correction system, DaVinci Resolve 14.
According to the developers, this update provides 10 times more performance than the previous one and solves the problem of audio editing along with the soundtrack thanks to the integration of a separate module with tools designed by Fairlight specifically for film and television.
One of the new features for color correction that is revolutionizing NAB is the face detector for automatic mattes and masking.
Other added features include:
- Collaboration tools for multiple users.
- New bin, clip and timeline locks.
- New timeline comparison tool.
- 20 new Resolve FX filters.
Another new feature that will make some people very happy and a few others very angry is that the price of the Studio version drops to $299.
