GoPro Hero8 Black and GoPro MAX, the new action cams

GoPro presented its two new camera models, the GoPro Hero8 Black and the GoPro Max, which come with new accessories and novelties. Despite the emergence of new brands and models of action cameras, GoPro has always been one of the leaders in this sector and now presents these 2 new models.

Hero8 Black

The GoPro Hero8 Black is presented with innovations in the structure of the camera and it comes with HDMI inputs to connect an external 3.5mm microphone, apart from the 3 internal microphones with wind reduction and increased sound quality. You can also add a lighting system with a small LED spotlight or a second drop-down screen designed for those who are dedicated to video blogging.

It has four types of lenses and via the main touchscreen you can quickly switch between narrow, linear, wide-angle or superview. One of the big new features of the Hero8 Black is the advanced HyperSmooth 2.0 electronic stabilization system. This stabilization system works in all frame sizes and at all speeds.

The Hero8 Black features dynamic speed control to speed up or slow down shots with a single touch thanks to TimeWarp 2.0. This tool features automated speeds to make the process easier.

In terms of photos, the camera features a revamped HDR system. The new SuperFoto algorithm increases the contrast in the image and reduces blur to result in images with more detail. The LiveBurst system allows us to capture 1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shutter to make it easier to select the perfect shot. This same option can be converted into a 3-second mini video in 4K.

GoPro Max

GoPro’s 3 in 1. GoPro Max has a lens and is designed to be able to have in the same device a hyper-stabilized action camera, a 360º camera to record the panoramic view and a perfect tool for selfie mode recordings with quality audio.

Like the Hero8, it features the HyperSmooth stabilization system which, thanks to its advanced horizon alignment, results in stabilized images in any situation.

It also incorporates 4 viewing angles, the narrow, linear, wide angle, and as a novelty, incorporates the Max SuperView, the most angular of those presented so far by GoPro. Another new feature is the SuperPano option, which allows you to capture 270º images in both action mode and selfie mode without distorting the image.

Both cameras are currently available for pre-order and have a starting price of 429.99€ for the Hero8 Black and 529.99€ for the GoPro Max.
