Last April took place another of our DCP creation courses with free software, pioneer in Spain. The course is having a great reception throughout the peninsula, with students coming to receive it from Catalonia, Basque Country, Navarra… Thanks to all of you!
During the course Fernando Alfonsín first explains in detail all the technical aspects involved in DCP: XYZ color space, jpeg 2000 compression, MXF encapsulation, subtitles, etc. After this, the students get to practice and make, using various creation and verification programs, two complete DCPs: a “normal” 2D and a stereoscopic 3D one. Fernando always listens to the doubts and suggestions of the students and expands the syllabus according to what each one needs.
As all students are audiovisual professionals from different fields and profiles, this course, as in all 709 courses, generates an atmosphere of community and exchange of information that helps the learning process even more. As proof of this, here you can see a group photo of the last course. In it you can see Fernando Alfonsín, teacher of the course, the coordinator of 709 Luis Ochoa, its marketing manager Marco Odasso and all the students of the course, among them the well-known Catalan director of photography Tomàs Pladevall, who attended the course. Thank you very much to all of you!
