Hasselblad launches its new compact camera model, the X1D II 50 C

The Swedish company renews itself and announces the launch of its new X1D II 50 C camera. They keep the same structure as their previous model but with substantial improvements.

Continuing with their medium format mirrorless camera model, they introduce this new model with a 50 Megapixel CMOS sensor. The sensor size of 43.8 x 32.9, makes it one of the smallest medium format cameras compared to most 35mm cameras.

A highlight is the color depth and 14 stops of dynamic range. Hasselblad color has always been a trademark of the company and in this case the new X1D II 50C has the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution Technology integrated to obtain colors that are truly similar to those perceived by the human eye.

In this new model we will finally have full resolution JPEG photographs and 16 bit RAW images.

Although they maintain the structure of the previous model, they have implemented a 3.6-inch touch screen and an OLED electronic viewfinder. Not only have they increased the size but also the quality of image reproduction, reaching a zoom increase of 0.87x. From the viewfinder we will also have access to the menu for high light photography sessions. The menu and interface have also been revamped for easier, more intuitive and faster control of the camera.

A new feature added to the touch screen is the ability to select and drag the focus point on the touch screen itself and even increase or decrease the autofocus point.

It comes with two card slots for more storage space or to back up while working on one of the cards.

Designed to be portable, the camera content can be accessed either via USB-C or via WIFI through Phocus Mobile 2.

It is now available for sale on its website.
