First approach to the new version of Cinema 4D
the company Maxon took the opportunity to also present the latest version of the Cinema 4D software. This program served to illustrate the power of the new iMac combined with additional hardware.
To do this, they made use of two Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Boxes (external cases that carry a graphics card inside or a specialized acceleration board such as Avid Pro Tools | HDX). To show the power of both, they used a scene of a complete CAD model: a motorcycle with millions of polygons. Later they used as an example a shot of a light bulb and glass refraction. Such an update should start in January, although eGPU support for Apple is still in beta and really only for developers. Full support should be available this spring.
