JVC commercializes its D-ILA 8K projector

JVC has decided to commercialize its 8K prototype projector, which incorporates D-ILA 8K technology, introducing the new DLA-VS4800 model.

Thanks to a new generation optical block, consisting of the D-ILA 4K device (1.27″ and with 10Mpixel resolution) and the “e-shift” image shifting technology, the projection has an 8K signal (8192×4800 pixels).

Its contrast ratio is 10,000:1, obtained thanks to a polarized grating technology that is already included in other high-end JVC projectors, and getting to reproduce blacks and details with great depth.

As for its connections, it includes 4 DVI inputs and a sync input. This is because, in order to correctly project an 8K image, the source is required to have certain characteristics. In principle, the image generators (IG) are required to be able to present a 4K signal twice, each with a vertical refresh rate of 30Hz and corresponding to a separate odd-even image, together with a sync signal.

Intended for large format projection systems, large simulators, planetariums and museums, the DLA-VS4800 projector will be available from this May and will be distributed on request, with a delivery time of approximately 3 months. For more information, please visit the JVC website.
