Latest news at Yamaha during ISE 2018

Yamaha-en-ISE-2018

Throughout this week the ISE 2018 (Integrated Systems Europe) is being held in Amsterdam. During the same the house of Yamaha has decided to present varied novelties. Among them we find:

VXL1 of linear matrices

The range of column type arrays, based on multiple arrays of the same 38.1 mm unit, are set inside the VXS1ML loudspeaker, which has been awarded several times. These IP35-rated structures, both black and white and paintable, are available in different versions of these loudspeakers: VXL1-8 (with eight units), the VXL1-16 (16 units) and the VXL1-24 (24 units). Each loudspeaker is supplied as a Lo-Z unit (Hi-Z option available).

All models measure 54 mm wide by 103 mm deep, with heights of 480 mm (VXL1-8), 846 mm (VXL1-16) and 1212 mm (VXL1-24).

Firmware for Rivage PM10

The new Rivage PM7 digital mixing system is accompanied by Rivage PM10 firmware version 2. It allows the creation of two TWINLANe ring networks in one system, allowing the use of up to 16 RPio series I/O units with up to 800 audio channels at 96 kHz and 3000 input connections to the system. New port-to-port functionality allows bridging between TWINLANe rings and additional Dante networks.
Complementing the new firmware, PM Editor software will also be available for Macintosh OSX, in addition to Windows. A new iPad StageMix driver for Rivage systems will also be available for download from the iTunes store platform.

Dante R-Series I/O Racks

Starting at ISE 2018, Yamaha announces that two new Rio3224-D2 and Rio1608-D2 versions will be available. These racks replace their predecessors Rio3224-D and Rio1608-D. Both versions include units with two power supplies to avoid possible power outages during the event. Should one system fail, the other will continue to work. Finally, by redesigning the internal airflow, fan noise has been reduced, making the system quieter.
