Saul Oliveira, camera assistant in film and advertising, has posted on his website an inventory of digital camera equipment in use today.
Thanks to this list we will be able to easily remember all the material we want to rent and have absolute control of the equipment we have on the shooting set. Operators can mark the equipment they need and pass it to their assistants so that they can complete it with the rest of the required accessories. Once everything is selected, the list can be sent to production and rental houses for budgeting and equipment preparation.
It is very easy to use thanks to its design with “checklist” boxes, in which you only have to mark the quantity of each part. In the index you will find sections with all currently used cameras and accessories:
- Digital cameras with 35mm sensor
- External recorders
- Recording media: cards, hard disks, etc.
- PL and Panavision mount, spherical and anamorphic lenses in use today
- Supports and heads
- Various accessories: spotlight controls, sunshades, hand-held camera, Magliner trolleys, bridge plates, bars, etc.
- Wireless spotlight controls
- Lens accessories: close-up and effect lenses, zoom fluids, mount adapters, rain deflectors, etc.
- Electronic accessories: cables, mini-monitors, walkie-talkies
- Power supply: batteries, chargers, cables, UPS, etc.
- DIT accessories: readers, cables, hard disks, adapters
- RED and Alexa proprietary accessories
- Video Assistance: recorders, monitors, converters, cabling, batteries, etc.
In addition, the list has blank spaces in each section that allow us to add other items, as well as “comments” boxes.
In the Filters Annex you can see the necessary filters and their sizes indicated separately. During the next few days Saul will also publish the Panavision Annex, with all its lenses and accessories detailed.
The list of camera equipment can be downloaded from Saul Oliveira’s website, where you can also find quick guides to different digital cameras and many more useful documents.
