“Live grading” color grading from camera in the DIT course

One of the most demanded functions in high-end productions nowadays is “live grading” or color grading directly from the camera. When we record signals in Log or Raw, the image we see on the monitor is usually “washed out” enough for the director of photography, director, art director, client, etc. to get an idea of the final look.

Live grading allows us to color grade the camera signal directly, so we can do tests to decide the look before we even press the record button. This allows image managers to preview the final results of the product much more quickly.

In our DIT Course and… we will practice live grading with real raw camera equipment and the programs most commonly used in DIT stations. Seeing the differences between them and the characteristics of this type of work.

Here you have the course sheet. Remember also that if you have previous DIT experience or you have attended any of the previous editions of our course you can also register only for the advanced day in which we will do the live grading and camera work.

A must practice for anyone who wants to work professionally as a DIT.
