M I S T solo, the new software from Marquise Technologies

A few days ago Marquise Technologies announced its new solution for dailies management that will be part of the M I S T range. It is M I S T solo, and what makes it different from the rest (MIST Prime, MIST i/o and MIST Mobile) is that it has been developed to work especially with RAW material and to be able to make fast and reliable deliveries.

There are different uses that we can give to this software, such as making a previous color correction, quality control, or making the delivery of dailies and take it to any viewing device or even to the editing room.

The company has tried to ensure that the system can offer all the necessary tools for this type of management. One of the most remarkable is its ability to perform real-time de-bayering of most RAW formats of current digital cameras, at the highest resolution (up to 5K). Among the supported RAW formats we can find ARRIRAW(ARRI Alexa), CinemaDNG(Aaton Penelope Delta and Blackmagic Design), Cine files(Phantom Gold and Flex) or Weisscam RAW.

Deliveries can be made in ProRes, MXF DNxHD and H264, and can be made simultaneously for quick viewing on the web, computers, iPad, etc.

It is compatible with any device running Windows 7 (64-Bit), although Mac users will also be able to run it through Boot Camp. You can read more about the features of MIST products in this article published a few months ago or on its official website.

MIST solo is not aimed at a specific type of production, but can be used in big movies, TV series, commercials or low-budget productions. For this reason, the company wanted MIST solo to be an affordable product and intends to market it at the end of September for a price of €1,300.
