“The most requested feature by our customers has always been to be Mac compatible, and today we are doing so with the new Mercalli SAL Mac.” With these words Robert DeMoulin, CEO of German company ProDAD has released the new Mercalli SAL, for Mac.
This is an application that brings Mercalli’s image stabilization system to Mac platforms.
This software includes video stabilization, rolling-shutter effect, and CMOS sensor distortion correction, as well as fisheye deformations, among others. It also has the ability to export to various ProRes formats, such as H.264/AVC, or JPEG.
Mercalli has focused on developing a Mac application independently of Final Cut Pro X, with the company’s intention being to improve efficiency when correcting clips before proceeding with an edit. This means that it can be used in combination with any non-linear editing system.
Mercalli SAL for Mac is now available on ProDAD’s official website, for a price of $119 until August 30, while its usual price is $149. The company also offers a 30-day trial version for those who wish to test the program.
