Mistika #3Dday

Next Monday, December 3 will take place the #3Dday, an event organized by SGO Mistika in which attendees will be able to get a new vision of stereoscopy and share their experiences in high-level projects.

The #3Dday will start at 15:15 hours at La Academia de Cine de Madrid. SGO encourages those professionals who want to get closer to s3D to attend.

An afternoon full of content is expected, opening with the stereoscopic trailer for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. There will also be a discussion on how the market is doing in the U.S. and Europe and the future of 3D as a new form of storytelling.

Guests

In this edition of #3Dday, which already has 17 years of tradition, the opening will be made by Borja Adsuara, General Director of Red.es. Later it will be the turn of the following guests:

– Leo Vezzali, Visual Effects Supervisor who will share his experience on projects such as The Amazing Spiderman and Prometheus, focusing on the challenges of stereoscopy and his views on the controversial conversion of images from 2D to 3D.

– Sergio Ochoa, Stereoscopy Supervisor. After doing post-production work on Asterix and Obelix: On Her Majesty’s Service, he will talk about the production of a project in s3D.

– Francisco Ramos, VFX Stereographer at BSkyB, will provide the perspective of the television sector. Among other topics, he will talk about the Sky business model and content production.

To continue with the usual exchange of opinions and relaxation, at 7:00 p.m. the 3D Party moves to the Tempo Room.
