Movie Color for Final Cut and Premiere

Once again we are talking about a plugin integrated in the popular FxFactory collection. We are talking about Movie Colororiginally developed by Sheffield Softworks, for Final Cut Pro (7 and X), Premiere Pro, Motion and After Effects editing and compositing systems.

Movie Color contains more than 50 presets with which you can give a look to your images. Once applied, you can use them as a starting point and customize the color correction to your liking, being able to save your own presets.

It includes a “pre-processing” section that allows the adjustment of saturation, brightness and contrast. Afterwards, we can modify tint values, blend blends and masks to separate different areas of the shot.

It also has several display levels with which you can see the result of each step and color correction generated in the image.

Here is a Final Cut Pro X tutorial, where you will see the basic operation of this plugin:

Movie Color is available through this link for $49, or if you prefer to try it first, you can download the free trial here.

Don’t forget that at 709 Media Room we have several courses dedicated to color correction, as well as another one on Final Cut Pro and three new After Effects courses(Cinema 4D, Motion Graphics and Mocha AE).
