Digital Vision and MTI Film have formed a strategic alliance to create a complete color correction workflow from shoot to final image. To do this, they have brought together two of their powerful systems, Cortex::Control Dailies (MTI Film), for dailies control, and Nucoda Look (Digital Vision), for color correction.
The partnership was prompted during the production of the TV series Dallas, where they had to transfer the dailies, created in Cortex:Control Dailies, to Nucoda in order to perform the final correction. Now, with the integration of all the tools, there will be no problem to go from a previous color correction, even during the shooting, to a more precise and controlled one to launch the final image from Nucoda Look. In addition, one of the qualities of Cortex::Control Dailies is the support of 1D and 3D LUTS for both import and export.
Among the main features of the Nucoda color correction system we can find native support for 4K and 64 bit images, a multilayer timeline and interoperability with other software thanks to the support of EDL, Avid DNxHD, AAF, MXF or ProRes. It is also compatible with RAW formats from cameras such as ARRI Alexa, RED or Phantom. Here you can see all its features.
Control Dailies has tools for ingest, logging, audio and video synchronization, color correction and digital encoding. In addition, it supports virtually all current camera formats (ARRI, RED, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Phantom, GoPro, Cinedeck, nanoFlash, DPX) and is also capable of exporting in a wide variety of formats and codecs, here is the link with all the information.
This new software solution will soon be available as a bundled solution, although pricing has not been disclosed at this time.
