In this tutorial, Creative Cow‘s Kevin P. McAuliffe explains how to easily do a multi-camera edit in Avid Media Composer version 6 and Symphony.
The really good thing is that it uses a material that is not ideal when working with multiple cameras; the timecode of the different shots does not match, so you will have to synchronize them manually.
The method it uses for this synchronization is audio, by activating Audio Scrubbing (with Caps Lock) it looks for a sound that is recognizable at all angles and marks entry points.
Once this is done, it groups them(Bin > Group Clip) and starts working with them on the timeline. You will be able to see how to bring up the viewing and editing functions from the Command Palette; switch from one shot to another in real time, while the image is playing, in a very simple way; modify the audio in the whole track, or at a specific point; etc.
Although it is in English, it is a tutorial that only with the image you can understand quite well. I hope it will be useful 🙂
