EIZO reports the arrival on the market of the new 27″ EIZO ColorEdge CG279X with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and the new version of the proprietary ColorNavigator 7 color management software for the ColorEdge range.
EIZO ColorEdge CG279X
ColorEdge CG279X is the successor of the CG277 model with some improvements oriented to video editing. The panel used is 27 inches (69 cm) with a maximum brightness of 350 nits and 1300:1 static contrast. It has a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a response time of 13 ms, and a 10-bit panel that covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% of Adobe RGB. It supports the HDR standard and PQ curve for viewing and editing HDR video content.
Optimized gamma curves make images appear more faithful to how the human eye perceives the real world compared to SDR. Having an HDR-equipped monitor allows creative professionals to reliably display HDR content during the editing process so that it is ready for color grading to show true to life at the end of the workflow.
The wide color gamut of the ColorEdge CG279X reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 color space used in the media and entertainment industry. In accordance with the DCI standard, the ColorEdge CG279X offers a high contrast ratio of 1300: 1 to produce true blacks that are otherwise difficult to display on a standard LCD monitor. In addition, it is equipped with a delay film that allows tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle.
