New AJA 12G-SDI converters

AJA launches its new range of mini 12G-SDI converters, the models HA5-12G and HA5-12G-T. These new models are designed to provide solutions for long distance fiber connections, specifically up to 10 kilometers. Through a single fiber link is capable of extending 4K HDMI signals.

Through the mini converter AJA HA5-12G we connect our source through the HDMI 2.0 input to obtain a signal output to two 12G-SDI outputs through a single link. It comes with two 12G-SDI outputs avoiding having to pull cable to work with 4K or Ultra High Definition signals. For more efficiency and security when transporting the video signal, AJA allows the extended screen identification data to be simulated to ensure that the signal we are sending is the correct one and that it maintains the format at all times. It is able to decode the HDR signal and analyze the data based on HDMI 2.0 and CTA-861-G.

Through the HDMI input allows an audio signal of up to eight channels. On the other hand, if we use the RCA connection, it allows 2-channel analog audio input. Both with conversion to 8 or 2-channel digital audio through the 12G-SDI output.

Along with this model HA5-12G AJA has also launched the HA5-12G-T-ST, which has a 12G ST fiber connection and serves to convert HDMI 2.0 to 12G-SDI 4K or UHD via a single link. It allows a maximum distance of 10 kilometers and is capable of supporting 60p signals. For this they have used a 12G Fiber SFP that allows long distance transmission and includes the same functions included in the AJA HA5-12G.

The price of these 2 mini converters is around $795 and $995.
