New call for the film lens classes taught by Afonso Parra ADFC. These are four master classes where the idea is to bring digital cinematography to those who are interested in the audiovisual image.
Within the CCD Solidarity Knowledge program, the course is distributed in 4 classes that will take place from October 26 to 29 and where the most important concepts of lenses will be discussed.
To begin with, the first class will focus on light and basic geometrical optics where we will start studying everything related to light, its wave, its behavior, etc… to then move on to the type of lenses: concave, convex, the interaction of light in them. Although the classes will be in online format via zoom, each class will have practical examples of the subject made by Alfonso Parra himself.
Continuing with lenses, the second class will be more focused on the study of lenses from a more creative point of view. The importance of lens choice for cinematographers will be discussed. Before choosing a lens, it is necessary to know the resolution, color, what veil and flare it produces and evaluate all the aspects that can affect the final result of the image.
We will also study the different types of lenses that exist in the market and that are essential for cinematographic storytelling. Among which we can find spherical, anamorphic, fisheye, etc… lenses.
To study them, examples of Canon branded lenses will be available, such as the CN-E 30-300mm T2.95-3.7 L S EF Mount Cinema Zoom Lens, ARRI Signature Prime, Fujinon XK20-120mm T3.5 Cabrio Premier Lens, Angenieux 25-250mm…
For the last class, we will also have Adriana Bernal ADFC to see the basic principles of human perception, framing and composition in photography or movement in composition.
The course, composed, as we have already said, by four classes, can be taken independently, although in order to have a better knowledge of the lenses it is recommended to take the whole course. There are a total of 12 hours of training and the classes are scheduled from 9.00 am to 12.00 Colombian time (COT), UTC -5.
Classes are in Spanish and are priced at 28 euros for the full course or 7 euros for the independent class .
